Meet the Founder

Matt started this for our family.

Matt Thomas · Founder

He was the one who couldn't let five words disappear. When Grandpa said them, they became the way our whole family learned to live. Matt built The Forever Business so those five words could keep meaning something — one necklace, one moment, one person at a time.

Grandpa was dying. Too soon. Too young. Matt's dad sat beside his father's bed in the final days, unsure if Grandpa even knew what was coming. He worked up the courage and asked, gently — "Dad, do you know that you're dying?"

Grandpa turned. Calm. Certain. Fearless. He looked his son in the eye and said —

Five Words
"Son, I'm in the forever business."
— Grandpa, on his last day

That was the whole answer. He wasn't afraid because he wasn't ending. Everything he'd built — with his family, with his faith, with the people he'd loved — none of it was ending either. It was continuing. Forever.

Matt wouldn't let them disappear.

Matt was young when it happened. But those five words hit him and stayed. He wore them like a coat he never took off. When he told his family — when he told his friends — the words started to move. They meant something. People remembered them. People carried them.

Years later, Matt started thinking: what if those five words could be worn — literally? A small, quiet reminder. Something you could hand to someone on a hard day. Something you'd notice in the mirror on the days you needed it most. Something a young person heading off to serve could take with them. Something a mom in the middle of chemo could touch during a scan.

He designed the Forever Necklace. Antique brass. A steel chain that doesn't quit. Small enough to sit under a shirt. Present enough that you know it's there.

He didn't want a jewelry business. He wanted a way to give the words away.

That's why every necklace comes as either one or two. One to keep. One to give. Because Forever isn't something you hold onto for yourself — it's something you pass to whoever needs it next.

And that's why $1 from every necklace goes to someone in a moment that matters. Because Grandpa's five words weren't about a product. They were about a way of living. And the way of living was: show up for people. Be there. Give. Let the love and the faith and the effort keep going after you can't.

The whole family is in it now.

Matt runs the business. His sisters help pack orders and write the notes. His parents handle the mission fund. His little brother Landon tests every new color prototype (he votes for silver every time). It's not a company — it's what our family does with the message Grandpa left behind.

We won't pretend we've figured it all out. We're just getting started. We haven't helped our first person yet. But every necklace sold gets us closer — and when we do, we'll tell you their name. Because that's what Grandpa taught us.

Real people. Real forever. Real love that keeps moving.

Thanks for being part of it.
